The cat sat on the mat,
The dog sat on a log,
A horse called Morse,
stood up, of course.
The goat took off his coat,
The rat took off his hat.
The flea couldn’t see
past the grasshopper’s knee.
The members of the sty
looked on from near by.
The little goose,
who’s seat was loose,
spent the second half,
sat with the calf.
The cock played some rock
The pig did a jig,
The horse gave a neigh,
from a big bale of hay.
The sheep went to sleep,
While the ram watched the lamb.
A new chair for the donkey,
The old one was wonkey,
No cheers from the stoat,
He had a sore throat.
While the little mouse,
Brought down the house.
The calf gave a laugh,
The cow took a bow.
The hen cheered, ”Again!”
Fun!
I love it! You must think about compiling a book of poems and accompanying images.
Hmmmn, not sure about a book, but glad you liked the poem.
Don’t underestimate the power of the book or your skills. Have you looked at ‘Blurb’?
Cute, I will read this to my class!
Ha ha, you’ll have to let me know what they say. (honestly mind you)
