Mind the gap

Hubby and I took a trip to London yesterday, the dentist was weighing heavily on my mind but as usual, my camera was attached to my wrist helping my eyes to persuade my brain that things weren’t as bad as it thought.

I wonder how many people have smiled at the sign in the last picture.  I laughed and wondered if the Northern Line would take me anywhere near Hogwarts.

As for the dentist … not good news.  I’ve got another appointment on Friday in Oxford, then I go back to my own dentist to weigh up the pro’s and con’s and make a couple of decisions.

  1. Sallyann, I’m so sorry to see that your dental woes continue. But I’m delighted to see that you’re still finding a silver lining in it all by taking the time to stop and smell the roses (or, in this case, photograph the platforms!). I send you healing thoughts. xo

    • The camera isn’t lying really … the tubes were packed, we had to stand on most journeys but there is a gap of about two minuites after the train pulls out when you have more than enough space to breathe … and take photos.
I wonder how many other people have gone away from that sign thinking platform 9 3/4 for Hogwarts. :-)

  2. Oh I like these, Sallyann, both as a series and individually. I like the bottom one best – the black rectilinear design on the white wall could be one of those security grills with whiteness behind, and imagining it thus, the notice seems to be hanging in space – I find the effect almost surreal. 3. lol! Love that last sign. And I’ve always liked “Mind the gap” for some reason (probably because it’s not something we say here).

I’m sorry about the not good news from the dentist. I do hope things will be righted soon.

    • Thanks, “mind the gap” always makes me smile too. :-)
As for the dentist, I had some better news on Friday so now I just have to discuss what’s what and make a few decisions with my dentist.
