We used to visit the Torbay area often when we were kids, out of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, I think I liked Brixham best.  I loved the pretty coloured houses above the harbour, the tiny winding streets and the sound of sea-gulls arguing over the fisherman’s latest catch.

A visit to Brixham isn’t complete without an ice-cream from the shop on the sea-front.  With the sea to your left, walk all the way around the harbour until the road takes a sharp right turn upwards.  The shop at the bottom of the hill is an ice-cream shop which sells ice-cream “to die for” !   Real chunks of chocolate in the mint chocolate chip, pieces of  banana and toffee in the banoffie, and the ginger one really “blows your head off” !

More from before : Brixham, Paignton and Torquay …  Aka “Torbay“.
