Marmite pyramid

The giant glass pyramid in the courtyard of the Louvre in Paris is very much like marmite … you either love it or you hate it !

Personally, I think it spoils the toast.

2013-10. Louvre pyramid.

More from before: “Paris” … and not just in the springtime.

  1. I never did like it…seemed wrong for the building. But who am I…. Are you living in Paris or visiting? I’ve only been once…it was beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog! 🙂

    • I have a liking of lines and geometrical shapes so I actually like the pyramid but I can’t get past how bad an idea it was to place it in the courtyard of such a beautiful building.
Unfortunately just visiting Paris, wouldn’t it be wonderful to be living there. 🙂

  2. I like the pyramid and think it adds to the overall experience of visiting the Louvre. But I agree that it does seem to spoil the balance in the courtyard of this building.

    • Marmite is not for me either, and picture the pyramid in the middle of a modern shopping square, centre piece surrounded by coffee houses and street tables with waiter service … then that would work for me too. 🙂
