Whereas some of you may have set an alarm and got up in the wee hours of the morning to catch a glimpse of our strangely coloured moon, I was working the nocturnal shift again and was on my way home.
I have to admit here that quite by chance I left the building at a slightly later time than usual and was surprised to see so many of my colleagues gathered in the carpark looking at… the roof?
Well, needless to say, my curiosity got the better of me and I spent the next few minutes, accompanied by the little red camera, standing in the carpark too.
The little Red camera wasn’t quite up to the job this time, after all, the moon is no short distance away, so I watched for a while then set off home as fast as my little legs would take me and sat in the garden with the black camera sitting on a small tripod on the table.
It took a lot of bad shots and a bit of play with the settings, but I did manage to get a picture of the pretty ball in the sky, it is the moon, honest.
I love it. It looks like a painting!
Painted with a sweeping brush maybe, 🙂 But I’m glad you like it too. 🙂
It reminded me of an aerosol paint finish. Very attractive indeed!
Thanks Meanderer. I am my own worse critic, but then aren’t we all. 🙂
I was tired, grumpy, and more than a little frustrated at my lack of night time photography skills. Sarcasm doesn’t become me so thanks again for compliment, I graciously accept. 🙂
I agree with Meanderer. It does look like a painting. The colors are wonderful. 🙂
Thanks Robin, I like the picture too, maybe a sweeping brush was a little harsh. 🙂
The colours displayed were wonderful, yes. Not like our usual moon at all. 🙂
It looks beautifully floaty Sallyann ! Maybe that’s how you felt seeing it too 🙂
It did look very dreamy, as if I wasn’t on this planet looking at our moon at all. 🙂
Aaaahhh… howling at the moon! I was up at some point doing the same!! 😉
Ah yes, I spotted your moon too. pretty. 🙂
