When the relaxing holiday in Malta we had planned for the end of last summer didn’t happen, we went to London for a few days instead.
We stayed on the Southbank of the Thames and played like tourists, wandering up and down mostly between the shard, past the eye, and up as far as the houses of Parliament. We spent time at Camden Market and took in a show at the Barbican. We visited Picadily Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden, amongst other places.
I’m not one for big cities, that’s usually Hubby’s domain, but I like how London has so many things to see, so many smiles to take away with me. I don’t like the hustle and hustle which comes along with a big city but Hubby navigated remarkbly well to find the quieter routes, and I was quite pleased at how much I held it together. Although, to be honest, it wasn’t as busy as I expected, I guess everone was in Weymouth and the rest of the South coast.
More from before : Looking at “London” as a tourist.
