Daisy, daisy, give me a moment or two.
I’m half crazy, sitting here talking to you.
The grass is growing long now,
My head is filled with song now.
But you look sweet and kind of neat,
All covered in morning dew.
Daisy, ย Daisy, how did you grow so tall?
Like a sunflower standing against the wall.
The breeze is blowing gently,
While you just sway contently,
Holding strong to petals long,
Allowing them not to fall.
Daisy, Daisy, your yellow is oh so bright.
Scented pollen is ย given off with this sight.
A visit from Mr Bumble,
Plays on without a stumble,
And so we see our Mr B,
Buzzing off with delight.
Love it – the image and the verse! Daisies are such cheerful and uplifting flowers ๐
Thanks, daisies always manage to raise a smile or two, and there were plenty of daisies to go round here. ๐
Daisies! I love daisies. Great image, and I love what you did with the verse. ๐
Thanks, I fear the verse was lost on the younger generation. Eldest daughter had never heard of our dear Daisy, let alone her bicycle made for two. ๐
Yes, I agree, good words – and I like the picture a lot – the two bits of tree foliage, one on either side, then the beautiful daisies sharp – and all that green and brown speckling in the backdrop. Good stuff! A ๐
Glad you liked the picture. I’ll happily admit to being quite pleased with it too. ๐
But tell me, did the words of the poem rattle along in your head to a tune about a bicycle made for two? ๐
Well thanks, now I have that tune stuck in my head for the day and its only 8.30 am. In spite of that I love the photo.
Oh Judith, so sorry about the tune. ๐
But there are so many worse songs to be singing all day. ๐
Wonderful photo… I too love daisies & the verse so brilliant ๐๐๐
Thanks, I’ve had this cheerful tune in my head for days now. ๐
Love the verse!
Thanks, did you sing along? ๐
